Arranye at Pwelye Pwelye

1998,  80 x 120 cms NFS

Towards the end of his life, in fact this was inspired by the last journey of any substantial effort, Arranye led a small group of family out east to Pwelye Pwelye, on Loves Creek Station to relate on tape the story pertaining to it. The sad thing was, that though I reconstructed the image of him chatting into the tape, on the day he was too knocked up by the travel to talk, and too emotional, regarding his imminent closure. Myra Hayes and her husband, Simon Toby, who'd both worked for the station, are seen in the background, together with the younger generation.
