Hayes Family Band

1999,   166 x 98 cms

One evening, on arriving in camp, I encountered the Hayes men and Donella in full musical career. They'd pooled their pension cheques earlier in the day and purchased a small generator, amplifier, drumkit and guitars from a second-hand shop. It was a joyous evening. And I wouldn't be other than impressed with youngest sibling, Justin's resplendent USA shirt. In commemorating the event, I added myself, who occasionally thrummed the guitar in camp, but was not part of that electrified ensemble.
